Over my 25-year career in healthcare, I’ve seen firsthand how technology, when used well, can transform both clinical care and business operations. I founded Med Practice Insights to help independent medical practices unlock the full value of their existing systems and data—so they can thrive without being swallowed up by larger health systems or private equity.
My journey began as a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, providing frontline medical support for a Marine infantry platoon. Working in a time before electronic health records, I saw how fragmented and fragile healthcare data could be, and how that impacted care. That experience lit a spark that’s guided my entire career.
After the Navy, I joined an orthopedic clinic and simultaneously pursued a degree in Computer Information Systems. I became passionate about early EMR systems and the potential they held. Later, as part of a large health system implementing Epic across primary care and specialties, I helped design workflows and reporting that supported population health at scale. I eventually became the clinical lead for expanding Epic to independent physician partners, where I saw clearly that these practices needed expert support but didn’t have it in-house.
That realization became the seed for Med Practice Insights.
I went on to serve as Director of IT for a specialty medical group, leading EHR optimization, new service line implementations, and building analytics systems to drive decision-making. To deepen my impact, I pursued a Master’s in Business Analytics from Georgetown University, bringing in strategies from across industries and reinforcing my commitment to practical, data-driven transformation.
Today, I bring that experience full-circle. From battlefield medic to business intelligence leader, I help independent practices turn their data into clarity, their technology into tools, and their operations into a strategic advantage.
